On the positive side there’s only one more month left in the year for Media Matters to spend its time defending their Hillary Clinton obsession. Then again, a whole new year of this propaganda stretches ahead.
On the other hand that still leaves plenty of time to defend her this year, in this case even from what she did back there in 1971 when she was just plain ole Hillary Rodham. And as is always to be expected, Media Matters can’t even make themselves report the bare facts.
The issue at hand is a Washington Free Beacon report on the young and radicalized Ms. Rodham’s relationship with the infamous leftist organizer Saul Alinsky. Here’s what the Free Beacon actually reported.
“Clinton met with Alinsky several times in 1968 while writing a Wellesley college thesis about his theory of community organizing.
Clinton’s relationship with Alinsky, and her support for his philosophy, continued for several years after she entered Yale law school in 1969, two letters obtained by the Washington Free Beacon show.”
And here’s how Media Matters reports this:
“The Free Beacon news flash ? Back in 1971, Hillary Clinton (then Hillary Rodham) corresponded twice with Saul Alinsky, a liberal organizer and activist of renown in the 1930s, `40s and `50s.”
See how dishonest Media Matters plays their disinformation game? In fact, the Free Beacon makes clear that “Clinton met with Alinsky several times in 1968” while doing her college thesis on him. But in the finest style of fake news, Media Matters eliminates that key fact totally from its story and reduces Hillary’s relationship with Alinsky to having merely “corresponded twice with Saul Alinsky” – with no mention whatsoever that in fact the two did have a relationship based on the “several times” they had previously met.
And there is one other jewel in this piece of Hillary obsession. Even as various Democrats are finally owning up to Bill Clinton’s abysmal history of sexual assaults and a vivid accusation of rape, here is Media Matters trashing one of his victims by describing her in this piece as “discredited smear merchant Kathleen Willey.”
Apparently sexual assault is still OK with Media Matters – as long as it involves the Clintons.
